In case you didn’t know, Nexus S (and quite a number of other phones that runs on Android) can be transformed into a portable WiFi hotspot. So you can get internet connection for your notebook without messy wires and buggy softwares (that often come with the 3G modems). There’s also option to secure the WiFi network with WPA2 security so there wouldn’t be some random people around piggybacking your limited bandwidth hotspot.
