As you can see, Hiro and Momo always somehow sleeps the same way on the carpet.

This one, is an exception, looks like they’re in “paused” mode.

At times, Lily and Momo sleeps nearby, which is very rare because Lily doesn’t seem very fond of Momo and Hiro:

Yes, he live for food.

Hiro isn’t the kind who nabs and steals your food at will (although given the chance that you are not around, he would steal some). So anyway the day before yesterday Nirah bought me some half-pound beef burger set from Wendy’s. Naturally the smell of beef burgers attracts Lily, Momo and Hiro. But of course, they know that it’s not for them so they just hung around nearby in hope that they will get a bit.

However, Hiro that day acts a little more aggressively. You see, cats are smart little being. They can plan and they can grab chances. So Hiro, in an attempt to get closer to the food (hoping to get some), started positioning himself to the table nearby where I was sitting.

My guess was that he is waiting for me to leave the table and then storm the food, looking for any munchable leftovers. But since I did not leave the table for quite a while, he started falling asleep… or so I thought. He could be pretending to be asleep, hoping that I will leave the table. So I did try leaving the table and get some drinks to see what will happen.

Now shortly after I leave the desk, he’s still there, pretending to sleep. So I went to the pantry. When I came back:

HAH! See I knew it!. But he’s pretty smart, he pretended that he just want me to rub him, he just stood there and look at me as I begin eating my beef burger again.

So Hiro’s got a plan.

Oh yeah, just for the sake of saying it (because I can), I sold off my Nikon DSLR systems and switched over to Sony Alpha system. I figured it’s still not too late to switch systems (would be bad after I start collecting loads of accessories).

So, today let’s take a look at what we have here, photos of current progress of Momo, Hiro and Lily.

Momo, just hit the puberty period, is keep trying to mate with Lily, which is completely uninterested and will hiss and growl to Momo everytime. He is still the hopeless, “dog-cat” (yeah he doesn’t meow like a cat), who is overly trusting to humans everywhere. He feels very content everytime he is near a human presence.

You can do anything to him when he is in this mode, and he wouldn’t mind.

Told Ya.

Hiro, on the other hand, is a nonchalant cat that does almost nothing, other than beg for food, rumble at random times and sleeping, minding his own business. We adopted him from PAWS in Subang.

Grooms himself lazily sometimes too.

Lily is an ever-curious and pretty playful cat. She doesn’t like to be cuddled, and she eats almost anything that we humans eat.

This is Lily getting excited over the pre-flash that my camera fires to assist in focusing. She was attracted at the reflections.

So that’s a short photo-laden update of my three felines – Momo, Lily and Hiro. Stay tuned!

I quickly bought one for myself (it cost me like RM8, batteries included!), and as soon as I reached home, I started testing the laser pointer on my three cats. The results can only be expressed in the following two videos:

So how do you guys entertain your pets?

Unfortunately, Nico was lost during an attempt to bring her to the vet for come checkup (and possibly spaying her right there in case she’s fit for it). She ran out of the car right after I opened the door, and I’ve never saw her since. So in case you’re walking around the Jusco Equine area (near Ming Chu restaurant), and if you saw her, do let me know! I miss her so much :(

Lily then was left alone with no one to play with. Lily isn’t exactly a playful cat, but with Nico around, they will at least play together. There are also countless times where either one of them are trapped in a room, and the other will meow to us asking us to free their counterpart.

So in an attempt to get Lily a friend, I went to PAWS (located in Subang). PAWS is an animal shelter and adoption center, and they will spay and vaccinate the animals so they are fit to be adopted. So far I’ve only saw cats and dogs in PAWS. I’m not sure if they have any other animals in there. There are kittens too, but usually they won’t let you adopt the kitten until they’re about 6 months of age. Here’s the direction map to PAWS in case you’re interested to pay a visit.

So back from PAWS, I got an orange (ginger?) tomcat which is named “Hiro”:

Hiro sleeping by the stool. There’s a bin for them to sleep in, complete with mats and soft toys, but somehow they still insist of sleeping on the floor. I wonder why.

Hiro is a more of an attention-seeking tomcat. He will always come to me and asking to be stroked, pat and cuddled. He seemed to have some paranoia of being hit. This is quite apparent, as most of the time when I raised my hand to pat him, he’ll go into the “prepare to get hit” kind of setup (eyes closed, ears pulled back, head lowered). I wonder if he’s been hit so badly before he was sheltered in PAWS. Poor cat.

About a week back, when I was in Cyberia visiting some friends, I saw this very adorable juvenile kitten running around, so I picked him up, and he seemed to be used to human beings (unlike the typical stray cats who shy or run away from people, thinking we’re going to hit them). So thanks to his extreme adorable-ness, I took him home, and named him “Momo”.

So right now I have three cats (2 adults and 1 juvenile). Thanks to Momo though, all the three cats are playing with each other, as Momo is extremely active. One cute thing about him is that he don’t really meow like a normal cat. More of like young puppy or a bird.

Whenever I wanted to prepare their food, this will happen:

Yeah, meowing for their food. They seemed to be triggered by the sound of the cat food in the container. At times when I really can’t find them (trust me, they’re really good at hiding. There’s once where I thought I’ve lost Nico, but apparently she was hiding in the speaker hole on the car door!), I’ll just shake the food container and they will sprung out one by one.

I hope Nico will come back (or be found) one day. I miss her.

Took them about 4 nights to settle down and accept each other initially. Now they’re playing all over the place and started to break the house!

That’s her alright, right after her daily meal. She will find one spot on my bed to get comfortable, and often in this state, she will still want to play and be curious, albeit in a lazy manner.

That’s her reaction once she saw the camera lens. She’s still curious over the alien object placed so close to her, yet still too lazy to react properly. So body on the bed getting lazy, but the head looking straight into the lens due to curiosity XD.

She’s about 7-8 weeks old when we took her home. Easy to manage little kitten, knows where’s the toilet is and does all her business . At the moment she’s having some stomach discomfort. Probably stressed as she’s in a totally new environment. Took her to the vet and have her checked up. Got some meds for her. Hopefully she’ll recover soon. Very playful kitten, she is.

P/s: Even though I have my Biostar A690 Box here, I don’t think I wanna call her “A690″ (perhaps it doesn’t sound as cool as D946GZ). Hang in there dude.
