Great page, but wish i'd have read this sooner. I've accidentally updated my carrier settings and now I can't see my "cellular data" settings anymore. Also, MMS & voicemail is a problem.
Any ideas how to rectify this so I can manually key in network settings?
Managed to get 3G through unlockit.co.nz tho
Am on 3GS 3.1.3 and trying to avoid iOS4. Thanks

I followed this instructions but still "Tethering" did not show up.

solution:
I let iTunes update my carrier settings and "Tethering" showed up. That fixed my problem.

I am using iPhone 3G from SG using Digi postpaid

Hi Firdouss...

Regarding question throw by Winnie (April 2, 2010), I own Iphone bought from Maxis without restriction (using Hotlink). At the same time I have DiGi broadband plan unlimited (Rm88 per mth @ 10Gb) which I use with my Iphone. Everything is fine until a day when I connect my phone through Itunes with DiGi simcard. A prompt came out out for carrier update, which I did click UPDATE (big mistake). Since then, I do not have internet access for my Iphone (even go to Apps Store or anything to do with network access) when I inserted DiGi simcard. It shows "Could not activate cellular data network - You are not subscribed to a cellular data service". This happens when my OS is 3.1.2. Thought a restore will fix it, therefore I click restore and later was asked to update to OS4. I did that but even after an update, the same problem happens. When I use Maxis, everything is okay. Can you please help me? Thanks!

That's not data downloaded/transferred. It's showing the current free RAM of the iPhone. You can get that by jailbreaking the iPhone and install SBSettings on it :)
