The original WordPress admin interface looked old and crappy anyway. What I do is download and install the <a href="http://kamigoroshi.net/web/wordpress/fluency-admin-the-best-wordpress-25-plugin" rel="nofollow">Fluency Admin plugin</a>, that is far by the best admin interface ever. Especially if coupled with Ozh's Admin Drop Down Menu. Why bother? The original WordPress admin interface looked old and crappy anyway. What I do is download and install the Fluency Admin plugin, that is far by the best admin interface ever. Especially if coupled with Ozh’s Admin Drop Down Menu.
