Finally, Something that "i" can Touch
On Wednesdays, usually I will submit all the leave application/shift swap/medical claim or overtime claim forms to the HR (yes I don’t intend to walk to the HR dept every single day. It’s not even in the same building!). So like any other day, close to the lunch time, I will compile all the forms together, sort them out and pay a visit to my manager to get his approval prior to submitting the forms to HR.
However, shortly before I went off, I heard a soft chime from my computer. Indicating a new mail just arrived. I clicked and it said “Congratulations! You have won the voter’s lucky draw!”
Psh. Must be a yet-another-scam-to-get-your-money-or-email crap. But I opened it anyways, out of curiosity.
It wasn’t a scam at all.
I’ve been participating in this Photography Contest thingie. Well, I don’t exactly submit any photos, but I voted for the photos that I like. One of them, apparently won the grand prize. This means any voters who vote for that photo will be entitled for a round of lucky draw. Not one nor five, but forty (40) of them. Yes that is a lot!
To make it even better. My name was listed in the 5 folks who will receive the main prize. Which is not announced as it is dubbed a “mystery” gift. So I thought, ah must be those cheesy mugs, towels, umbrella or maybe even some stationery stuffs. They always do that. The best I saw was a pendrive.
Wilz told me “What if it’s a notebook ZOMG”
That sure gets my hope up for a while, but I told myself that is almost impossible. There’s so many winners, very unlikely they’re going to give stuff that cost a lot.
The e-mail told me the prize giving will be done on the next day itself.
So I went back home, curious as hell, but not very hopeful.
The next day I went to the ceremony and guess what I got?

I am so speechless.
And therefore, I’m announcing that I have finally got my first ever iPod!
Few minutes after that, I got four similar remarks from four different people:
“Ross, you’re one lucky bastard!”
I have to agree. My luck is so good every since I went out with Bebe (might be coincidence, but that’s how I want to remember it!)
