I really like the macro shot of the candies. As a matter of fact, I like macro shots in general. When excecuted perfectly, the results always seem out-of-this-world, as if someone stopped a while to take a snapshot of something that people take for granted.

Fird: Yeah, I know what you mean. My personal area of interest in photography is with anything symmetrical. Like the pedestraian bridge image in the Gallery

Yes, in comparison to the Fujifilm F11 on ISO1600, the S9500 looks very zig-zaggy. I'm sure you can fix it though.

Fird: Ah yes, now i get it. Usually I try not to shoot past ISO 800 hehe. Saw the samples of the ISO1600 for s9500 and it looks uhm.. yeah zig zaggy.

...and manual zoom ring makes this an excellent movie recorder! Every other consumer digital video camera hasn't got that. Major major fun!

Fird: Oh yes. Manual zoom is so much fun!

EXCELLENT CALL. :D There is a God out there, and everyday he helps somebody make the right choice.

Should be months before the Fujifilm S5600fd with ISO3200 (and non zig-zaggy ISO1600 ala Fujifilm F30) comes out. Wahahaha.

Fird: Zig-zaggy ISO 1600? You mean the noise reduction is horrible?
