Doing a 'noble' thing, neglecting the others?

I am seriously mad at certain companies that suspends operations for a while in order to let their staffs to do ‘holy’ or ‘noble’ things (and then causing miseries and inconviniences to the public).

Today I was heading to work, and while trying to purchase my train ticket, to my surprise, both of the counters at the Serdang KTM Komuter station is closed! Glancing at the time, I’m guessing they are taking so-called ‘prayer break’. Well, might appear as ‘doing their duty as human who is worshipping the almighty god at the topmost priority no matter what is happening’. However, looking at the condition of the passengers, it appear that they actually neglecting certain responsibilities for another, in my serious opinion, these people has put their priorities upside down.

Imagine that small station, packed with almost a hundred people, who are stucked because the counters aren’t open and all three ticketing machines only want to swallow coins. If I remember correctly, three trains from each direction come and go, and only like 3-4 people board each of them, thanks to everybody else being stucked there.

I’ve had this experience on a lot of offices (especially *cough* government ones *cough*). I find it weird that they couldn’t take turns to do whatever they want. Perhaps the company puts up strict rules that everybody must go at once, and that leaving the counters all closed during operational hours is completely okay /sarcasm.

KTM Komuter, Serdang Closed Both Counters Pic: KTM Counters – All Closed (ignore that annoying dude that purposely posed in front of me)

I know this post is more like a rant than talking about the issue. It is unfortunate to me that it occurs during the time I’m rushing to the office.

(Probably the pay shucked kot XD)

Heck, I hate to lost one train just because of this matter, especially when you have promise someone on the other side of the trip to get there on time.

Exactly. At least have someone to man the counter while the rest go, and then switch – its so common sense

I just don’t get it why they have to trouble a lot of commuters just because of this?

OMIGOD ROSS!!! u know y…coz they refuse *read : REFUSE* to accept non-*ehem* bumi’s to work at the counter…or so sayz my friend who’s working there lar. dats the major problem lar i guess…so wen they go for their ‘breaks’, there’s no one to replace them or fill in for them. *sighs* if only they’d allow people like me and the rest of them who’s not ‘bumi’ to work at ‘GORMEN’ counters, life for u and another 100 people who have been much easier… *sighs*
